Embodied Girls takes place every early release Monday from 2:45-3:45pm at The
Lotus. Curriculum includes mindfulness skills, arts and crafts, movement
inspired by yoga and dance, themes of positive self image, inclusion, self
care, finding your authentic voice and friendship. Cost is $50 for 4 week
session ($12.50 a class) and includes all materials.
you feel like a girl, then you are real like a girl. Embodied Girls is a group
for tweens to press pause on the many demands in their lives. Lotus provides a
safe and loving space for girls to show up and let go of the day. Here girls
can rest knowing that they are in the right place surrounded by kind,
like-minded people. This is a unique opportunity for tweens to grow and
ultimate goal with Emobodied Girls is to help young women become their own best
friends and bring intention into their friendships. We will meet once a week
for four weeks, and at the end of each hour session, the girls will leave
feeling an overall sense of calm and connection with their true selves. Some
particular results you can count on are less stress, more positivity, improved
concentration, better relationships, and increased self-confidence. Our
research-based curriculum blends together the most up to date brain science
with the most empowering and nourishing practices for the soul
Girls is designed for those who identify as female and are in grades 5th-8th.

entrepreneur. Working on social justice-based issues has been a
multi-generational tradition in her family. By living in and both rural and
metropolitan areas has opened her eyes to the needs and struggles that women
face across the country. Mercedes is continually amazed by the many ways that
yoga, mindfulness and intention can elevate life from the ordinary to the
extraordinary. Mercedes loves watching young girls and women come into a better
understanding of their self, mind, body, and heart. Her hope with Embodied
Girls is to help shape young girl’s self-awareness, esteem, and confidence,
both now and into their future.
